If the New Jersey Devils didn't get bad news, they wouldn't get any news at all.
More negative waves emanated from the AHL's Albany Devils Wednesday with word that Calder Trophy finalist Adam Henrique will undergo thumb surgery Thursday and is expected to be off the ice for six weeks.
Henrique injured the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his left thumb during Albany’s 5-4 loss, in a shootout, to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Sunday in Atlantic City.
With Albany, Henrique had five goals and three assists in 16 games.
